FILE PREPARATION: HOW TO PREP A PHOTOSHOP FILE
Make sure your document size is at least 13” wide and at least 300 dpi. The resolution has to be at least 300 dpi for a better quality file. Be sure that the actual graphic within the document space, is at least 12” wide before saving.
You can not download and place a 72 dpi image into a 300 dpi document and it magicaly becomes 300 dpi. Your 72 dpi image will become blurred and pixelated when scaled to print size (chest and sleeve prints can be at least 6″ wide).
USING IMAGES DOWNLOADED FROM THE INTERNET
You can not use most images downloaded from the internet. You have no control over the actual resolution. These images have been flattened and compressed for web use. Unless you paid for the artwork it is almost always true that it wont be able to be used. If you are just absolutley in love with the image you downloaded, you can always commision an artist to redraw it for you to meet requirements but make sure your downloaded artwork is not copyrighted.
